Join us on December 1 for a special culinary event with Björk Cafe & Bistro and renowned author Nichole Accettola to celebrate the release of Accettola’s cookbook Scandinavian From Scratch, out now from Ten Speed Press! In this exclusive collaboration, Björk will feature an array of items that showcase the authenticity and creativity found in Scandinavian From Scratch on their menu, including a cardamom wreath, saffron rusks, chocolate slices, and two kinds of smørrebrød sandwiches. Accettola will be on location for a meet-and-greet with signed copies of the books from 3-5 PM; the sampling menu will otherwise be available all day from 11 AM-7 PM.

This event promises a journey that captures the essence of traditional Scandinavian recipes presented with a modern twist!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nichole Accettola is a highly acclaimed culinary artist and the owner of Kantine, a Scandinavia-inspired restaurant located in San Francisco serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks with a gorgeous menu of pastries, porridge and jewel-like smørrebrød sandwiches. She previously lived for a decade in Denmark. Her book Scandinavian from Scratch delves into the soul of Scandinavian cooking, offering a fresh perspective on traditional recipes and culinary techniques.
