See The Quiet Migration (dir. Malene Choi, Denmark, 2023), a new Danish drama about an adopted South Korean Dane’s struggle to come into his own, on April 24 at Scandinavia House!

Carl, 19, lives a quiet life in the Danish countryside with his parents, who expect him to take over the family farm one day. But as an adopted child from South Korea, Carl carries a secret longing to explore his roots and find his own place in life. Torn between two worlds, Carl must make a choice about where he belongs. The Quiet Migration is a thoughtful coming-of-age story about adolescents facing racism from their own families, set against the backdrop of a society where immigration has become a divisive issue.
