Read and discuss Scandinavian literature in translation as part of our Nordic Book Club. Discussions typically take place the last Tuesday of the month in the Halldór Laxness Library at Scandinavia House and online in our Goodreads group during the last week of the month.
Finnish author Pajtim Statovci’s debut novel My Cat Yugoslavia (Pantheon, April 2017) relates in sensitive and finely tuned prose the inner conflict and questions about one’s identity that immigration, homosexuality, and the past might stir.
