In 1970s rural Iceland, Aldis hates her job working in a juvenile detention center; the boys are difficult, the owners are unpleasant, and there are mysterious noises at night…and then two of the boys go missing. When decades later single father Odinn begins looking into alleged abuse at the center, he begins to discover that consequences from these past events may tie in to the recent disappearance of his wife.
