MoreKids + Families
In this Saturday Storytelling Workshop with the Children’s Center’s Hertta Nilsson, hear and see pictures from Tove Jansson’s very first Moomin picture book, The Book About Moomin, Mymble and Little My, following a craft tutorial on how to make your own pop-up book! First published in 1952, the book introduced the beloved Moomin characters to readers with a curious day of adventures as Moomintroll, off on a simple errand, meets and decides to help Mymble find her missing sister, Little My. Along the way, they endure the hijinks of all the charming characters of the Moomin world, including the Fillijonks and Hattifatteners! Throughout, die-cuts in the storybook offer a tantalizing peek at what’s to come.
After reading the story, Hertta will then show you how to craft a pop-up book inspired by the story!
This event will take as a YouTube Premiere video; it will not be available to stream after. Join us then to hear and see the pictures from this beloved storytelling classic!
The link to this event will be live starting from the week of August 10; check back then to see how to stream.

**This event will be screened from 2-2:30 PM EDT on August 22 only. It will not be available for later viewing.**
